CONTACT: Beth L. Lorow Messiah College Symphonic Winds and Wind Ensemble to perform
GRANTHAM, Pa. (Feb. 4, 2005) — The Messiah College Symphonic Winds and Wind Ensemble will perform a concert on Feb. 27 at 3 p.m. in Miller Auditorium, located in Climenhaga Fine Arts Center, on the college’s Grantham campus. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, call (717) 766-2511, ext. 3310. The program will feature “Chorale and Alleluia” by 20th Century American composer Howard Hanson, “First Suite in E flat ” by 20th Century British composer Gustav Holst, “Blue Shades" by 20th Century American composer Frank Ticheli, and “Lincolnshire Posy” by 20th century Australian composer and pianist Percy Grainger. Messiah College, a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,900 undergraduate students in 50 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham, Pa., near the state capital of Harrisburg.
