Messiah College to present student recital

GRANTHAM, Pa. (Feb. 25, 2005) — Messiah College music student Karen Benedick will perform a student violin recital on March 20 at 4 p.m. in Poorman Recital Hall, located in Climenhaga Fine Arts Center on the college’s Grantham campus. The recital is free and open to the public. For more information, call (717) 766-2511, ext. 3310.

Newberry native Benedick is a senior music education major. Her performance will consist of selections including, “Concerto in A minor” by Antonio Vivaldi, “Siclienne and Rigaudon” by Fritz Kreisler and “Sonata No. 4” by G.F. Handel. Benedick will be accompanied by Lynn Alt on piano.

Messiah College, a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,900 undergraduate students in 50 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham, Pa., near the state capital of Harrisburg. A satellite campus affiliated with Temple University is located in Philadelphia.
