CONTACT: Beth L. Lorow Messiah College Friends of the Library to hold annual book sale GRANTHAM, Pa. (March 17, 2005) — The Messiah College Friends of the Library will hold its tenth annual book sale beginning April 9 and continuing through April 13 in the college’s Murray Library. The sale will open at 10 a.m. and continue to operate during normal library hours (Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, 2 p.m. to midnight; Monday to Wednesday 7:30 a.m. to midnight). Approximately 20,000 books will be offered at the sale. Prices are approximately $2 for hardcovers, $1 for paperbacks and $.50 for mass-market paperbacks. Old, rare and special books are priced as marked. Also for sale will be classical and pop LP records, music scores, compact discs, audiocassettes, maps, magazines and home schooling materials. On April 12, all books will be half price, and on April 13, the prices will be $2 per bag. Proceeds will be used to supplement the library’s annual budget. Donations of books and other materials are accepted throughout the year. Readers may drop off donations at Murray Library. Pick-up service arrangements are available for larger quantities of donated books. For more information, contact Mike Brown at 691-6006, extension 3810. Messiah College, a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,900 undergraduate students in 50 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham, Pa., near the state capital of Harrisburg.
