Messiah College Handbell Choir to perform concert

GRANTHAM, Pa. (April 8, 2005) — The Messiah College Handbell Choir, under the direction of Keith Roden, will perform a concert on April 28 at 8 p.m. in Hostetter Chapel, located on the college’s Grantham campus. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, call (717) 766-2511, extension 3310.

The Handbell Choir will perform music from their recent performance at the Pennsylvania Music Educator’s State Conference in Hershey. The concert will include pieces by prominent Pennsylvania handbell composers including: William Payn, Michael Joy, Karen Buckwalter and Douglas Floyd Smith.

Messiah College, a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,900 undergraduate students in 50 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham, Pa., near the state capital of Harrisburg. A satellite campus affiliated with Temple University is located in Philadelphia.
