CONTACT: Beth L. Lorow Messiah College to present student recital POSTPONED UNTIL OCT. 29 AT 4 P.M. GRANTHAM, Pa. (Sept. 15, 2005) — Messiah College music student Rachel Myers will perform a student flute recital on Oct. 8 at 4 p.m. in Poorman Recital Hall, located in Climenhaga Fine Arts Center on the college’s Grantham campus. The recital is free and open to the public. For more information, call (717) 766- 2511, extension 3310. Rachel Myers is a senior music education major from Greencastle, Pa. She will perform a number of selections, accompanied by Erin Black on piano, Lynette Sollenberger on clarinet and vocalist Katie Hess. Myers’s performance will include “Fantasia number 6” from Telemann’s “Fantasias,” the first movement of Lowell Liebermann’s “Concerto for Piccolo,” “Two Poems of Juan Ramon Jimenez” by Joaquin Rodrigo, and selections from “Children’s Games” by Bizet. Messiah College, a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls more than 2,900 undergraduate students in 50 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham, Pa., near the state capital of Harrisburg.
