Founded in 1924 by students at the Prague Conservatory who were inspired by Louis Spohr’s “Nonet,” the Czech Nonet, is one of the oldest chamber ensembles in the world. The Czech Nonet was also awarded best prize of the prestigious journal “Repertoire” for their CD with B. Martinu chamber works.
The Cultural Series is a public five-part annual performance series sponsored by Messiah College. In addition to the Czech Nonet, the remaining performance is the Ensemble Amarcord on March 3.
