GRANTHAM, Pa. About Jeff Deyo

Jeff Deyo, one of the premier songwriters and worship leaders of the modern worship movement, is the voice behind such popular worship songs as “I Could Sing of Your Love Forever,” “In the Secret” and “My Refuge,” which he recorded with Dove Award winning band Sonicflood.  While with Sonicflood, Deyo saw their debut self-titled album and the follow-up, “Sonicpraise,” sell more than one million albums.

Deyo released his first solo album, “Saturate,” in 2002, which saw the single “More Love, More Power” reach No. 1 on Christian pop radio charts.  His second solo project, “Light,” introduced a new crop of original worship songs, including the title cut, “Ray of Light.”  “I pray that as people worship God and use this record to draw closer to Him, the light of God – the truth of God – will illuminate inside of them, allowing His piercing ray to cut through untruth, weird doctrine, denominations, disobedience, selfishness or whatever might be keeping them from truly knowing and loving God,” Deyo said about “Light.”

In 2005, Deyo and his band traveled to Parachute Festival in New Zealand to record a live worship album. The result, “Surrender,” reflects Deyo’s intense gift to facilitate worship through his emotion-packed vocals and dynamic choruses.

Deyo’s band is comprised of Charlie Goddard on guitar, Jeremy McCoy on bass, Fred Williams on keyboards and Nate Winters on drums.
