About Phantom Planet

Los Angeles-based rock band, Phantom Planet, formed in 1994 and derived their name from the 1960’s science fiction movie, “The Phantom Planet.” The band consists of lead vocalist Alexander Greenwald; guitarist and background singer Darren Robinson; bassist Sam Farrar; and drummer Jeff Conrad.

Phantom Planet, with sounds compared to musicians such as U2 and Elvis Costello, built a reputation by playing shows in and around Los Angeles throughout the late 90’s.  In 1998, the band released their debut album, “Phantom Planet is Missing.” Follow up album, “The Guest,” featured the debut hit single “California,” which was selected as the theme song for the popular television show, “The O.C.” In 2003, the band recorded its most recent album, “Phantom Planet,” which features the single “Big Brat.” For more information about Phantom Planet, go to www.phantomplanet.com

About Big City Rock

With a sound to match their moniker, Big City Rock is one of the West Coast’s newest, most dynamic bands. The quintet features Nate Bott on guitar and vocals, Frank Staniszewski on keyboards, Timothy Resudek on bass, Andy Barr on guitar and Kaumyar Delkash on drums.  Big City Rock’s upbeat sound, coupled with bold choruses, classic songwriting and a modern spin, is quickly winning listeners nationwide. Their first album, “Big City Rock,” was released in March.  “Punk Planet” magazine coined Big City Rock’s sound as “sing-a-long, keyboard-driven rock. Very fun stuff; U2 would be proud of this band.”  More information about Big City Rock is available at www.atlanticrecords.com/bigcityrock.
