(Nov. 15, 2007) — Susan Glaspell’s acclaimed play “Suppressed Desires,” written with husband George Cram Cook, will show at Messiah College at 8 p.m. from Dec. 6-8. The play will be performed in Miller Auditorium, located in the Climenhaga Fine Arts Center on the college’s Grantham campus. Tickets cost $10 and may be purchased by calling Messiah College’s ticket office at (717) 691-6036. Directed by senior theatre major Patricia Wingate, this clever comedy that pokes fun at Freudian dream analysis follows the misguided attempts of wife Henrietta Brewster to interpret the strange dreams of her husband and sister. Her wacky methods soon cause side-splitting trouble in her family, landing her in circumstances even Freud would have found difficult to unravel. Messiah College, a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls 2,800 undergraduate students in 55 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham, Pa., near the state capital of Harrisburg. A satellite campus affiliated with Temple University is located in Philadelphia. # # # ARTICLE DATE: THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2007
