CONTACT: Beth L. Lorow Activist's life portrayed in Messiah College's production of "My Name is Rachel Corrie" GRANTHAM, Pa. (Nov. 20, 2007) — “My Name is Rachel Corrie,” a one-woman play constructed from the journals and letters of American activist Rachel Corrie during her time in the Gaza Strip, will show at the Open Stage in Harrisburg, 233 Walnut St., at 8 p.m. on Dec. 14 and 15. Sponsored by the Messiah College department of theatre, “My Name is Rachel Corrie” features theatre major Landree Fleming in the title role. The student-directed production includes talk-back sessions immediately following each performance. Tickets cost $5 and may be reserved by calling the Messiah College ticket office at (717) 691-6036. Due to adult themes, the performance is not appropriate for children under the age of 13. Messiah College, a private Christian college of the liberal and applied arts and sciences, enrolls 2,800 undergraduate students in 55 majors. Established in 1909, the primary campus is located in Grantham, Pa., near the state capital of Harrisburg.
