Messiah College adds three new undergrad programs

Messiah College adds three new undergrad programs to its 2017-18 academic offerings

Undergraduates at Messiah College can now select from two new majors and one new minor for the 2017-18 academic year. The new majors are actuarial science and finance, and the new minor is speech and language pathology. With the addition of these new programs, Messiah now offers more than 150 majors, minors and concentrations. For a complete list of majors, go here.

About the new majors

Actuarial science – This bachelor of science degree prepares mathematically talented students who have an interest in business applications for work in the actuarial science field. Students will learn to manage risk with a combination of strong analytical skills, business knowledge, and understanding of human behavior. Learn more about this major here.

Finance – This bachelor of science degree focuses on practical application of financial theory using distinctive, state-of-the-art techniques. These techniques will uniquely prepare and equip students to be effective leaders in the field of finance and to impact the world for Christ. The program includes numerous opportunities for hands-on corporate finance and investment management experience, including participation in the Student Investment Club that actively buys and sells securities.
