Michelle R. Blackford
The Office of Alumni & Parent Relations is pleased to announce that Michelle R. Blackford has agreed to serve as the Assistant Director of Alumni and Parent Relations. In 2005 Michelle joined our office as the Coordinator of Regional Leadership Programs where her skills in event & project coordination were effectively utilized. In addition to coordinating multiple regional Meet the President events which acquainted alumni and friends with Dr. Kim S. Phipps, she also severed as the key facilitator for the annual and increasingly popular Youth Workers Conference. Prior to moving to the Harrisburg area in 1997, Michelle earned her B.A. in Psychology from Eastern University, St Davids, PA. Initially working at Paxton Ministries in social services, Michelle began working at Messiah in 1999 in the Development Office. Whether planning events, working with Messiah administrators, alumni or parents Michelle's dynamic belief in Messiah’s mission and contagious love for the College have been obvious to all those who come close enough to catch her passion and enthusiasm. Michelle and Randy celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary this year. Their home is in Camp Hill Borough. Her leisure interests include gardening, scrap-booking, spending time with friends, watching the Chicago Bears, and traveling. Contact Information: Michelle R.
