Professor's Insights on Amish Published in Pittsburgh Press

Dr. David Weaver-ZercherDr. David Weaver-Zercher, Associate Professor of American Religious History and Chair, Department of Biblical & Religious Studies, is an expert on Amish life and culture.  In the wake of the Nickel Mines School tragedy, he was sought after by local and national media.  His op-ed piece, "The Amish are Not Ours" appeared in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.   

 

Messiah's Fall Athletics Success Leads to #3 Ranking in National Poll

The success of the men's and women's soccer and field hockey teams have helped place Messiah at #3 in the NCAA Division III Sports Academy Directors Cup Standings which recognizes the top overall athletic programs in the country.  Congratulations to the coaches and student athletes!

 

Falcon Basketball Teams Are Flying High: Women Ranked #1 in Nation

Women's BasketballAfter 17 straight wins, the women's basketball team reached the top of the national poll for the second time in program history.  The men's team remains undefeated in the Middle Atlantic Corporation conference.  Check the schedules and support those Falcons as they head toward post-season play.

2nd Annual Youthworkers Conference to be held on-campus on March 31

Duffy Robbins, a frequent speaker for Youth Specialties and author of numerous books on youth ministry tools and techniques headlines an oustanding group of speakers, resource persons, topics and worship.  Conference rate discounts are available for church youth ministry teams.  Please forward this information link to the youth pastor or leader at your church.
