![]() Honors excellence in vocation. 2005 Recipient Robert D. Snyder '72 Ten years ago, Bob Snyder '72 founded International Health Services (IHS) to train medical professionals how to integrate faith and medicine through the Saline Solution, a program produced by the Paul Tournier Foundation. Today, IHS has helped to train more than 1,600 doctors. In 2001, IHS translated the Saline Solution program into Hungarian and presented it to over 125 doctors from Hungary and Romania. To date, IHS has launched training in Hungary, Romania, United Kingdom, The Netherlands and Ukraine. Prior to his involvement with IHS, Snyder, a 1976 graduate of Temple University School of Medicine, practiced emergency medicine for nearly 20 years at Thomas Jefferson, Brandywine and Sacred Heart Hospitals. Today, he continues to serve as an adjunct assistant professor of emergency medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. |
