| Thank you to the more than 7,000 alumni who have returned their personal questionnaires for the 2002 Messiah College Alumni Directory! If you have not yet returned your questionnaire, please do so by February 15 to insure accuracy of information about you in the directory. |
| Allowing several months for production and printing, we hope to begin delivery of directories in June. To date, approximately 1,000 directories have been ordered. | Sherman, a 1987 graduate, is the youngest recipient ever for Messiah's Distinguished Alumnus Award. Amy is being honored for her nationally-recognized work and scholarship on faith-based initiatives and for her own participation in urban ministry. Amy is scheduled to speak and be honored in College Chapel to be held at 9:30 a.m. on April 16 . |

| MESSIAH'S ANNUAL "LOVE RUN" DEDICATED TO MEMORY OF STEVE HAYES |
| Messiah is holding its annual 5k "Love Run" race on Saturday, February 16 at 10:30 a.m. Proceeds from this year's race will benefit the Steve Hayes Memorial Scholarship Fund, the American Heart Association, and Messiah College Cross Country Teams. Awards will be given to both individuals and couples in several age categories. To receive a long-sleeve t-shirt, you must register by February 7. Robert Watson, former National Commander of the Salvation Army, will be on campus to discuss leadership secrets of The Salvation Army as part of Messiah's Executive-in-Residence Program on Wednesday, February 13, at 6:30 p.m. in Hostetter Chapel. Hoke, a 1937 Messiah Junior College graduate and recipient of Messiah's first Christian Service Award in 1994 has announced the publishing of the book, A RICH HERITAGE, MEMOIRS - BOOK ONE, 1917-1980.
