NCAA National Championship Action |

Field Hockey – The field hockey team finished as the 2006 NCAA Division III National Runner-up after a close 3-2 loss to Ursinus College in the finals.

Women’s Soccer – The women’s soccer team made it to the final four before being edged in double overtime 1-0 to the College of New Jersey.

Cross Country – Frank Eanes competed in the National Championship Race.

Messiah's College Lands Major Grant From
the National Endowment for the Humanities
Competing with major universities and elite liberal arts colleges, as well as with thousands of libraries, museums, and state humanities organizations, Messiah College has just been awarded the most competitive institutional grant in the United States for the humanities. The challenge grant of $200,000 will help complete the College’s Center for Public Humanities endowment initiative. |

| United Voices of Praise - Messiah College’s gospel choir will present a Winter Concert on Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in Hostetter Chapel. The College's mime team and step team will also perform. The event is free and open to the public. |

Celtic Christmas - The Messiah College Cultural Series presents one of the most sought after Irish-American groups today. Cherish the Ladies will be performing "Celtic Christmas" on Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. in Miller Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased for $20 by calling the Messiah College ticket office at (717) 691-6036. |

MessiahCollege Men's Basketball Team vs.California Lutheran University
Meet other alumni and friends and members of the coaching staff at a pre-game reception to be held on the CLU campus in Thousand Oaks. Reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and game time is 7:30 p.m.

NYC Area Reception with President Phipps
An evening including fine music, refreshments and conversation will take place at the home of Steven ‘93 and Nancy Maasbach. Reception runs from 6-8 p.m. Business attire is appropriate for this event.
- Washington, D.C. – January 21
Messiah Around Town in D.C. & Meet the Artist Reception
Join the Messiah College community for an afternoon in Washington , D.C. Take opportunity to tour the newly renovated Reynolds Center at the National Portrait Gallery and view the Outwin Boochever exhibition including a painting by Catherine Prescott, a retired Messiah art faculty member. A reception with Prescott will include refreshments, conversation, and pianist, S. Grace Li. The reception will be held from 3-5 p.m. at Zola’s Restaurant adjacent to the Smithsonian and the International Spy Museum .

Duffy Robbins scheduled for
2007 Youthworkers Conference
Rev. Duffy (David) Robbins, associate professor in Youth Ministry at Eastern University, will be the keynote speaker for Messiah College’s 2007 Youthworkers Conference to be held on Saturday, March 31. Robbins is a frequent speaker for Youth Specialties and author of numerous books on youth ministry tools and techniques. Please tell your church youth staff about this conference.
