Brian P. Thomas currently serves as Senior Managing Partner at Bear Stearns & Company in New York City.  A 1987 graduate of Messiah College, he received his law degree from Harvard University in 1990. An avid Yankees fan, he and his wife, Lorie (who also attended Messiah), live in Easton, Pennsylvania with their three children, Trevor, Tanner, and Helena.

Baseball team to compete in NCAA championship

The Messiah College Baseball team captured its third Commonwealth Championship in the past six years on Saturday, May 3. With the victory over Elizabethtown, the Falcons advance to the NCAA Division III National Baseball Tournament. Messiah opens play on Wednesday, May 14, at 10:00 a.m. in Newark, New Jersey. Follow the Falcons with live tournament action at the regional site or by following updates on Messiah's Athletics site www.gomessiah.com.

Discounted Knoebels Tickets

Support Messiah's Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) Department's Student Professional Development Endowment Fund while having family fun at Knoebels Amusement Resort. Until June 30, 2008, you may purchase Rides Ticket books for $18. In addition to discounting the tickets, Knoebels will also donate $2 to the HDFS Student Endowment Fund for every book purchased. Tickets do not expire and are transferable from year to year. You may pick up your tickets directly on campus or complete an order form to have them mailed. String Teaching Award


Johanna Hartman '07, a first year teacher at Elizabethtown Area High School, has won the annual string teaching award. This annual award is designed to recognize string/orchestra teachers with one to five years of full-time teaching experience who have exhibited the highest levels of leadership, dedication, and achievement in public or private schools in the state of Pennsylvania and/or Delaware.
