Top 10 Tips to know about the Student to Alumni Transition

Seniors, it's hard to imagine you will be graduating soon and leaving campus, but you will always be connected to Messiah as Messiah College alumni. Like any change, college graduation is both exciting and a bit nerve-racking, so here are 10 tips to help you make the switch from student to alumnus.

Return to the Alumni page.

10. Mark your calendar for the Class of 2008 Zero-Year Reunion at Homecoming, Saturday October 18, 2008.
9. Keep in touch with your professors—it brings them encouragement to hear from alumni.
8. Take advantage of just-for-alumni career counseling from Career Services.
7. Need a transcript? Contact the Registrar's Office.
6. Get your alumni ID card from Falcon Services & still have access to the Library, Gym, Weight Room, Indoor Track and Pool.
5. Don’t ask, “What am I doing for the rest of my life?”
Instead ask, “What is my next step?”
4. Sign up for the Alumni E-Bulletin (email alumni@messiah.edu) for up-to-date Messiah news and alumni events.
3. Look for the to-your-door delivery of the Clarion 2008 yearbook.
2. Get involved with a local church and a service organization as soon as possible. Continue being part of a community!
1. Don’t sweat it—your prayers are heard and God will lead your life step by step.
