After several positions in Human Resources, I found myself unfulfilled in an office environment. In 2001, just seven months after getting married, my husband and I headed back to school. Rick went for his Master’s Degree in Counselor Education and I went for a degree in Nursing. In May of 2004 we both graduated and began new careers. While in nursing school, I had an internship position at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA. I loved it and felt I had found my niche!

I began working as a GN (Graduate Nurse) immediately after graduation at Mount Nittany . Rick's new position as an Elementary Guidance Counselor with Southern Tioga School District forced us to move to Liberty , PA. I sought after a position with The Williamsport Hospital (also known as Susquehanna Health System) just 30 minutes south of Liberty . I began working as an RN in July of 2004 after passing my board exam. I work on the Orthopedic Unit of the hospital, which also cares for medical and surgical patients as well.

After working as a Nurse for over a year, I continue to love my job. I love watching the progression that the joint replacement patients make within their 4-5 day stay here. Rick and I have recently purchased our first home in Williamsport, PA. Rick continues his position with Southern Tioga School district. We have a beautiful daughter, Kaylie Rose who will be turning 1 year in November.

Rick and I are thankful that the Lord knows us better than we know ourselves! With complete submission to Him, the Lord has granted us things far better than we ever imagined.
