After graduating from Messiah in 1999 with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, I pursued my Master’s degree from the University of Miami in 2004, and graduated with a GPA of 3.93. I was awarded the "Outstanding Achievement in Research Award" upon graduation for my participation as a Research Assistant for several ground-breaking Alzheimer’s research projects with the University of Miami and Florida Atlantic University .

Currently residing in Miami , I work in a private practice as a Certified Nurse Midwife at the Miami Maternity Center . On September 26, 2005 , the Miami Maternity Center recently premiered on the Discovery Health Channel in a reality show based on the life of the midwives at the birth center. The show, titled "House of Babies," will feature 26 episodes on natural water births at my workplace. Filming has already begun for the second season.

In addition to working at the center, I have a private gynecology practice called Gentle Gynecology. I also teach at the International School of Midwifery and have been a guest speaker for the University of Miami .
