Employer: Coaliton for Christian Outreach at Westminster College
Graduated: May, 2002

After graduating in May of 2002, I began working for the Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO).  My position is at Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA as a Co-Assistant Director of Titan Traverse (TT).  TT is a leadership development program which uses adventure education as a teaching medium.  This year we have approximately 25 students in our program who are learning how to facilitate activities such as initiatives, rock climbing, backpacking, and canoeing in order to help others learn how to make a difference in our world.

Most days I love my job!  I enjoy the adventure activities (see photo, middle of first row), but even more I enjoy seeing students learn lessons that are applicable to all areas of life in the midst of adventure, such as better communication, trust, and identity.  I have even had the opportunity to return to Messiah to help lead two J-term Wilderness Encounter courses.

I really appreciate the opportunity to give back to a community that has given so much to me.  I am continuously thankful for the Health & Human Performance professors, the Issachar's Loft staff, and others in the Messiah community who were key players in helping me develop the skills that I needed to get started in this work and who continue to sharpen me as my journey continues!
