New local tax laws require the Payroll Office to change every employee's local tax record in the computer system. Please carefully check your pay stub in January to make sure that we have correctly identified where you live - your county, school district and municipality. If it is incorrect, please contact us with the correct information. (Corrections may require that you submit a revised Residency Certification form.)
Check using Self-Service: Follow links for "Employee," "Benefits and Deductions," "Tax-Related." In the page of information that displays, look for "PA Local income Tax (xx-xx)" that has a Status of "Active" and a Start Date of either "Dec. 18, 2011" or early January 2012. The Filing Status line will show your PSD code, followed by two characters for your county, followed by the name of your school district (which may be abbreviated). Employees who live outside of Pennsylvania will see a Filing Status of "880000-CU OutofState M-burg SD". |
