IMPORTANT NOTE TO SENIORS:

You must APPLY FOR YOUR DEGREE if you are planning to graduate this academic year.  Complete the "Apply for Your Degree" form in MCSquare (Academic Life tab, Registrar Channel, Student Records Menu)  no later than Friday, October 9, 2009.  It is absolutely critical for the Registrar's Office to receive your Application since it is the only means to set in motion to process for you to graduate. If you do not plan to graduate in the current academic year, please notify Paula Maynard at pmaynard@messiah.edu.  

Graduation Requirements and Dates

Graduation requirements can be found in the college catalog (online or printed version). Review your degree audit in MCSquare to determine when you will actually be finished with all requirements for your degree.   December graduates must have all requirements completed by the end of this semester to have a graduation date of December 31, 2009.   May graduates must have all requirements completed by the end of the Spring '10 semester (includes May term cross-culturals) to have a graduation date of May 15, 2010.   August graduates must have all requirements completed by August 31, 2010.  If you are within six (6) credits of completing your degree at the end of the Spring '10 semester and the outstanding courses or credits can be completed by August 31, you may be eligible to be an August graduate. These grads will receive a "Contract for Late Completion of Degree Requirements" from me in April which outlines the requirements and parameters for degree completion.   All December 09, May 10 and August 10 graduates are eligible to participate in the May Commencement Ceremony.
