Do your research to find out what’s required of you, by way of admissions testing. If standardized test scores are required, you should plan to take those tests in the spring of your junior year or in the early fall of your senior year. Since application deadlines for more selective programs generally fall in late December or early January, plan ahead, allowing time to sit for the exam more than once in case your scores are low. It usually takes two weeks for scores to be reported.

• GRE – Graduate Record Exam, a computer-based test (CBT), is the most common graduate entrance exam. Most students take the general GRE.  There are also GRE subject tests in areas of Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Literature in English, Mathematics, Physics, and Psychology.  Individual appointments can be scheduled to take the GRE. Check the ETS website for testing and registration information for over 225 CBT centers. The Thomas Prometric Test Center next to the Sylvan Learning Center, Harrisburg, is the closest testing site to Messiah College.  You can register online or call 1-800-967-1100.
