Interviewing

The Career Center offers a practice, or, "mock interview" service to students preparing for any kind of interview (job, internship, grad school, etc.).  Contact the Career Center to set up an appointment, after you have read through the Interviewing 101 Guide.  Mock interviews are typically videotaped and reviewed for interviewing strengths and areas needing improvement.

What to bring with you for your mock interview:

• Come dressed as you would for your actual interview.
• If you’d like to have a copy of your mock interview, bring along a blank VHS tape.
• Any other materials you would bring with you to an interview: portfolio with a notepad, resume, research materials, etc.
• An open mind!  This is a time to talk honestly about areas in need of improvement, so be open to constructive criticism.
