Mass Email Group Definitions
All Full-time and Part-time Students – All students attending Grantham, the Philadelphia Campus, and Abroad
All Grantham Students – Those students who are residents, commuters and off-campus residents attending the Grantham campus All Female Students All Male Students All First-Year Students – Students coded by the registrar’s office as having up to 23.9 credits All Sophomore Students – Students coded by the registrar’s office as having up to 56.9 credits All Junior Students – Students coded by the registrar’s office as having up to 89.9 credits All Senior Students – Students coded by the registrar’s office as being at or beyond 89.9 credits The COE – All full-time Faculty, Cocurricular Educators, and Administrative Educators, COE Associates Ranked Faculty Meeting – Those holding the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor All Employees – All faculty, staff, and administrative personnel. This includes full-time and part-time employees as well as any temporary employees with e-mail accounts, but not student employees. All Finance – Lois Voigt, V. P., and those departments reporting directly to the vice-president All Provosts – Kim Phipps, Provost, School of the Arts, School of Education and Social Sciences, School of Health and Natural Sciences, School of the Humanities, School of Mathematics, Engineering, and Business, Student Affairs, College Ministries, External Programs, Boyer Center, Registrar, Archives, Sider Institute, Athletics, Murray Library, Disability Services All Planning – V.P. for Planning, and those departments reporting directly to the vice-president All Advancement – Barry Goodling, V.P., and those departments reporting directly to the vice-president All Staff – Staff employees are personnel (other than students) who are paid on an hourly basis All Administrators – Administrative employees are salaried personnel who are employed on a contractual basis All Curricular – Academic Dean, and professionals in the following areas: Curriculum, External Programs, Faculty Development, Enrollment, Career Development, Disability Services, Information Technology Services, Internship Programs, Learning Workshop, Oakes Museum of Natural History, Philadelphia Campus, Service-Learning, Employment Coordinator, Historian and Archivist, and Registrar All Co-curricular – Co-curricular educators include the Dean of Students, Dean of College Ministries, and professionals in the following areas: Athletics, College Ministries, Counseling, Residence Life, Community Development and Minority Student Life All Employees less COE – All employees, excluding all full-time faculty, cocurricular educators, and administrative educators All Account Directors – Those persons with managerial authority over a department who are responsible for the financial performance of his/her department(s) All Student Employees – All Messiah students who are also defined to be current, active student employees.
