| Special Qualifications: |
Previous sound and lighting experience is required. Candidates should have a basic understanding of the fundamentals of sound and lighting operation, and be able to hear and know how to deal with distortion and feedback. Applicants should be flexible, able to take direction well, and be willing to learn. Additionally, this position must be able to interface well with people under pressure. The employee should be independent, self-motivated, have common sense, and have an ability to think for themselves. The Sound and Lighting Technician will also perform all the duties of the Guest Relations Workers when there are no tech needs. |

| Primary Duties: |
- Set up, operate, and troubleshooting of various lighting, sound, and video equipment for conferences, camps, and functions.
- Transportation of sound, video, and other conference services equipment around campus.
- Monitoring of equipment in use, as needed.
- Organization and preparation of all technical equipment and needs for conferences, camps, and functions, as well as the upcoming school year.
- Assisting with the inventory, cleaning and organization of multiple storage facilities.
- Repair and maintenance of equipment as needed.
- Handling of all technical issues whenever the Technical Coordinator is not available.
- Assisting the Technical Coordinator whenever required.

| Secondary Duties: |
- Assist other Conference Services staff with guest relations, key control, and laundry services as needed

| |
|
| REQUIREMENTS: |
- Valid driver's license.
- Prior sound experience, preferably on Tech Crew
- Weekend and evening work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work from heights
- Restricted - no vacation days, unless approved by the Conference and Events Coordinator, are as follows: (May 9-17, 2012 and June 30-July 8, 2012).
- Recommended vacation time (One week from May 20-August 10, 2012. One week from August 12-25, 2012)

NOTE: Employee selection is based on an application and interview process. Sick time and other absences due to mission work, etc. over and above the required 10 days will be charged to your tuition account for room and board.
