Messiah Annual Fund

Students in library

The Messiah Annual Fund, the College's "greatest needs" fund, provides critical resources that help to offset the rising costs associated with higher education. Gifts to the Messiah Annual Fund help Messiah to offer a margin of excellence that sets a Messiah education apart from other institutions. From scholarship aid and support of academic programs, to widespread study abroad opportunities and funding for missions and service trips, the Messiah Annual Fund helps to make every facet of a Messiah education possible for our students.

When you give to Messiah, you support…

students. Each year, Messiah College provides more than $27 million in financial aid, funded in part through gifts to the Messiah Annual Fund. Currently, 99% of Messiah College students receive financial aid, and many would not be able to attend Messiah were it not for that much-needed assistance.

faculty. Messiah College faculty are committed Christians who are also talented educators, scholars, authors, and experts in their chosen fields. Investing in their professional development ensures that Messiah can continue to offer a curriculum that is academically rigorous and reflective of our commitment to the integration of faith and learning.

excellent academics. Messiah has produced graduates who have Service Trip Water Projectdistinguished themselves as Rhodes, Fulbright, Carnegie, and Truman Scholars. In recent years, Messiah’s accounting students were ranked seventh in the nation and first in Pennsylvania in passing the CPA exam; Messiah’s nursing class obtained a 100 percent pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examinations, one of only three institutions in the state to achieve a perfect score; and Messiah’s elementary, early childhood, and special education graduates passed the Praxis Series assessments, an exam required for obtaining teacher certification in Pennsylvania and many other states, with a 100% pass rate.

missions and service. By the time they graduate, nearly all Messiah students have participated in some kind of mission or service project as they learn to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in a hurting world. Each year, Messiah provides approximately 60,000 service hours to the community and beyond, translating into a monetary value of nearly $80,000 every month.

leadership and reconciliation. At Messiah College, it is understood that full-time Christian service is not limited to the church or the mission field; rather, serving Christ takes place in all walks of life, regardless of one’s chosen profession. Therefore, students are taught how to take the lead in becoming agents of hope and reconciliation wherever God calls them to serve.
