Thanksgiving in April represents the point in the academic year when tuition dollars “run-out.” That’s right. The tuition that our students pay for a Messiah College education does not cover the entire cost of the education that they receive. Without the gift os our generous donors, tuition would increase by $3,263 per student, per year.

The fourth annual Thanksgiving in April will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012. Students are invited to write a thank you note at any of the following locations: Eisenhower Campus Center, Boyer Hall, Larsen Student Union, or outside of Jordan Science Center.

You may also enjoy thanksgiving dinner, served in Lottie Nelson Dinning Hall, free ice cream outside of Jordan, or stop by any of our tables for your share of candy!

Once the day is over, a selection of thank you notes will be send to those donors who supported the College throughout the academic year. You can view our thank you video here. The thank you notes will also be on display during Homecoming/Reunion weekend this October.                  

Why Give? Video Contest Winners

In 2010, as part of the second annual Thanksgiving in April, the Office of Development sponsored the “Why Give?” video contest. Students were asked to create videos that would address why alumni, parents, staff, and others friends of the College should give to Messiah. Below are links to the winning videos.
