On June 30, 2010, as the last gifts of the fiscal year were received and processed, an exciting milestone was reached. The $100,000 Alumni Centennial Challenge from the Board of Trustees was completed as last-minute gifts took the total new and increased gifts from alumni beyond the $100,000 mark. In fact, alumni have given over $104,500 in new and increased gifts since the Challenge was announced in November!

Here's how the Challenge worked:

• New gifts to the annual fund were matched dollar for dollar, up to $1,000.

• The increased portion of any previous or current year gift to the annual fund were matched, up to $1,000.

• Married alumni made twice the impact. New or increased gifts from married alumni couples were matched up to $2,000 ($1,000 per alum).
