Here at Messiah College, every gift counts! You have probably heard a phonathon caller stress the importance of participation, or have read the same in a letter from the College. Often, alumni say they don't give because they cannot make a big gift, so their gift won't have an impact. That's not true.
In 2005-2006, the Student Impact Fund raised more than $125,000 from gifts of $50 or less.
Third-parties, such as U.S. News & World Report, use a college's giving statistics as an indicator of satisfaction when publishing its annual rankings of colleges and universities.
Prospective students and their parents often look to these rankings when selecting colleges.
For the first time in six years, Messiah College alumni have significantly increased the rate at which they participate in giving back to the College. The 2006-2007 alumni giving participation rate was 23.4%, a full two percentage points higher than the 2005-06 total of 21.4%. To those who gave, thank you! We look forward to an increased level of alumni support in 2007-08.
