The HELM Healthier Eating and Living at Messiah Menu:
This menu features meal selections meeting the MyPlate.gov guidelines. These guidelines include meals comprised of whole grains, ample fruits and vegetables, lean protein, and good calcium sources. The HELM menu selection also strives to meet heart healthy guidelines with approximately less than 35% total calories from fat, less than 10% total calories from saturated fat, 0 grams trans-fat, less than 20% total calories from added sugar, and lower sodium selections.
Food Allergy Labeling:
Many students today must adhere to a diet plan which avoids food allergens. To feel more comfortable and confident in your food selections, use the Food Allergy Labeling Icon system to identify items that contain common food allergens. Please note that ingredients and products are ever-changing, so be sure to speak with a Dining Services Team Member if you have any questions.
Approximately one out of every 100 people has celiac sprue or gluten sensitivity requiring them to avoid gluten. Look for the gluten-free options on the HELM menu to avoid gluten in your diet.
