Most buildings have been adapted or constructed to accommodate persons with disabilities. Some office buildings may require assisted entry. The campus is located on a hill so movement among buildings may be difficult for those using manual wheelchairs. Some buildings are being reviewed for modification to improve entrance and movement within the building. Improved accessibility is a continuous process at Messiah College.

Inclement weather is frequently a problem in winter but maintenance crews work diligently to keep travel lanes open between residence halls, the Eisenhower Campus Center and classroom buildings. Work crews clear sidewalks required for travel by identified individuals with disabilities.

Classrooms and labs are generally accessible, but relocation of classes is sometimes necessary. Most residence halls and several apartments are now accessible, although additional renovation will be needed for some facilities. Not all rest-rooms are accessible. Increasing access is a constant goal of our administration.
