Welcome to The Engle Center for Counseling and Health Services! The staff of the Engle Center for Counseling and Health Services are committed to Messiah's mission, " to educate men and women toward maturity of intellect,character, and Christian faith in preparation for lives of service, leadership, and reconciliation in church and society." We know that taking good care of your physical health and your emotional wellbeing is a vital component of helping you to make the most of your time at college! Our services are confidential and free to full time students. The Engle Center is located in the heart of campus, right behind the Jordan Science Center, (See map of our campus location.) In conjunction with Screening for Mental Health, Messiah College is now participating in a free, confidential Online Screening for Mental Health for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder,alcohol abuse, eating disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder. This screening is provided so you may find out, in a few minutes, whether or not professional consultation would be helpful to you.
The Messiah College student body participated in a National College Health Assessment (NCHA) survey in Fall' 06 under the leadership of the American College Health Association. The NCHA instrument was designed to collect data on a broad range of student's health behaviors, health indicators, and perceptions. The Executive Summary is available for your review here.
