FAQ's Q: How do I apply for a job? A: Go to the Financial Aid office located in the basement of Old Main to complete an application for part time student employment at Messiah College. Complete a Campus Events application or come to the Campus Events office located on the second floor of Eisenhower Campus Center and return the application to the Campus Events Office. Q: What is the rate of pay for Campus Events workers? A: Beginning with the Summer 2007: the starting pay for Campus Events is $7.30 per hour with a .15 increase each year for returning student workers. Q: What jobs are available? A: All jobs in Campus Events are cleaning or setting up and tearing down for events. In the residence halls there are bathroom cleaning and stairs cleaning jobs. There are jobs cleaning classrooms and bathrooms in the academic buildings. Set-ups and tear-downs for Chapel are also Campus Events jobs. To learn more about working for the Campus Events Department, feel free to browse our Student Employment Manual. Q: Is the job for the academic year? A: Yes. Jobs are granted for two semesters. Q: Are there jobs available for students in the summer at Messiah? A: Yes, contact the Financial Aid office about job possibilites during the summer. A Financial Aid application must be completed for any student employment on campus. Campus Events has job opportunities as a dorm worker, and three different shifts of Campus Events workers on central campus. A Campus Events application must be completed to apply for a summer position. Applications may be obtained from the Campus Events office located on the second floor of Eisenhower Campus Center.
