The Solar Scholar team that is part of the Energy Group of the Collaboratory has received grant money and donations to build a photovoltaic training facility.  This open air pavilion will be located on the southeast corner of Frey Hall.  The structure was designed by Gannett Fleming, Inc.  Wohlson Construction is the general contractor.  The Solar Scholar team is providing labor to install the solar arrays as well as the electrical system that give about 3.2 kw of power to the building.  This work is being conducted under the supervision of Fullerton Electric.  The project broke ground on April 10th and is expected to be completed by the end of the semester.
