Fry Apartment renovations

Fry apartments is undergoing major renovations from June 2006 to August 2007.

The project includes:

• Replacement of the heating and air conditioning systems
• Installation of a central hot water system
• New windows
• Redesign of the kitchen
• New appliances
• New flooring
• Painting
• New furniture

Update (August 16, 2007)
Fry apartment project is complete and housing will be open as scheduled for the fall.

              

    

         

Update (August 10, 2007)
Renovations are moving along on schedule. Sections A & D have been completed, furniture is moved in and the contractor is working on a punch list. C-section is in final cleaning. Furniture is going back in B-section. All inspections to this point have been favorable and have not slowed up the project. Landscaping has been scheduled and will start soon.

Update (July 1, 2007)
This renovation project is proceeding on schedule. All of the mechanical work in D-section is completed. Tile and carpeting is being installed this week. The contractor is continuing through the building in sections. The general contractor estimates that they are 65% completed with the project. Update (June 2, 2007)

• Demolition is underway.
• Mechanical systems and fire prevent systems are being installed.
• The first inspection is scheduled with the township for June 4th.
• Contractors are working 5-6 days a week and are on schedule.

Update (May 21, 2007)
The contractors are clearing out all the furniture in Fry apartments and the demolition work will begin this week. Window replacement has been ongoing. Work in Fry D202 started this spring semester as a test apartment; the pictures show some of the work.
