What determines international student status?

The student:

1. Is not a US Citizen
2. Is not a permanent resident of USA
3. Was born in another country
4. Has citizenship in another country (passport is from there).

Some international students are in the USA on visas (i.e. high school exchange students, dependent on parent's work visa, etc.)

Here at Messiah, sometimes "international students" include:

1. Missionary kids
2. Third world culture kids who are US citizens but live abroad or
3. Permanent residents who were born in another country but immigrated to the US and have their green card/permanent residency card.
