HEA Disclosure to Prospective Employees

In compliance with federal law, Messiah College is required to provide prospective employees with notice of its campus security report and fire safety report.  These reports, as well as other required disclosures, are included on the College’s HEA Student Consumer Information portal webpage.  We encourage you to visit the webpage for information on many aspects of Messiah College. 

Specific information regarding Messiah College’s campus security report and fire safety report and links to the reports and other related material are as follows:
  • Campus Security Report (including Campus Security Policies, Crime Statistics, Crime Log, and Missing Student Notification Policy)

    Messiah College’s Annual Safety and Security Report  contains information regarding campus security and personal safety and includes such topics as crime prevention programs, Department of Safety law enforcement authority, crime and emergency reporting policies, access to College residences, sexual assault prevention, timely warnings of emergencies, disciplinary procedures, and other matters of importance related to security and safety on campus. It also contain information about crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the College, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.

    Related information can be found on the U.S. Department of Education website.  In order to find information specific to Messiah College, click on “Get data for one institution/campus” and enter “Messiah College” in the block entitled “Name of Institution.”

    The Annual Safety and Security Report is available on the Department of Safety website.  If you would like additional information, clarification, or a paper copy of the Annual Safety and Security Report, please contact the Department of Safety at extension 6005.

  • Fire Safety Report

    Messiah College also publishes an Annual Fire Safety Report outlining campus fire safety practices, standards, and certain fire-related on-campus housing statistics. The Messiah College report can be accessed by clicking on Fire Safety Report or by clicking on the Department of Facility Services Office of Environmental Health and Safety website: www.messiah.edu/offices/facility_services/health-safety/ under the Fire and Safety Systems link. A paper copy of the report may also be obtained by calling extension 3560.
