The GRADUATE PROGRAM IN COUNSELING at Messiah College invites applications for full-time, term-tenure track positions in Counseling, with a sub-discipline in School Counseling; Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling; or Mental Health Counseling.

Responsibilities: Teach online graduate courses in the Counseling program depending on candidate's interests and program needs; supervise practica and internships; maintain an active scholarly agenda; advise graduate students; and engage in institutional service. May also include on-campus teaching in an appropriate undergraduate department.

Qualifications: Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D. preferred, but ABD considered, in Counselor Education or related field as well as certification as a school counselor, licensed marriage and family therapist, or licensed professional counselor. A profession of Christian faith and a commitment to the mission of Messiah College is required. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship, have experience in the appropriate field, and are open to teaching in an online format.

The Counseling Program at Messiah College is designed to help prepare students to become competent counselors who are capable of working in multiple settings. As such, they will be prepared to serve others in the counseling process, develop their leadership abilities in the counseling field, and seek to reconcile relationships within the counseling setting. Starting Date for Position: Fall 2010

Compensation: Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
