Students can discover a new world when they step out of familiar surroundings by participating in a variety of short-term off-campus opportunities offered through Messiah College. Whether studying wildlife in New Zealand or spending a few weeks in Philadelphia, students will experience firsthand a way of life that they may have only read about in books. Three-week cross-cultural courses include intensive study of the local culture through lectures and readings, as well as either an extended home-stay or an ethnographic fieldwork project in the native language. Weeklong service trips provide students the opportunity to serve alongside their peers while investing in long-term projects in various countries around the world.
The purpose of International Programs at Messiah College is to provide students with safe, transformative short-termoff-campus learning opportunities that encourage them to deepen their understanding of and appreciation for the world and their place in it.
A world of opportunities awaits students seeking to experience life and culture off-campus.
