Dr. King Community Engagement Day
In celebrating Dr. King's life, come engage our local community through a day of service. Join hundreds of other volunteers throughout the Capital Region to take action at project sites throughout the city. Movie & Discussion: "Little Rock Nine "
- Location: Parmer Cinema
- Time: 7:00-8:00 PM
Dr. Roberts was one of the nine students knowns as the "Little Rock Nine", a group of African-American students who, in 1957, were the first black students ever to attend classes at Little Rock Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. In 1999, he and the other people of the Little Rock Nine were awarded the Congressional Gold Medal by President Bill Clinton.
