Changing Passwords
The Messiah College Password Policy requires all employees and students change their account passwords annually. ITS welcomes the chance to help the campus be more intentional about protecting our technology infrastructure and the critical resource we have in our data. This section will provide you with the information you need to make the change.

Off Campus Connecting
ITS does not provide off campus support for home computers. However, we do realize there are employees who wish to access their data from home. This area provides instructions for getting set up so you can begin exploring the potential of off campus access.


Software Help
This section of the Help Center will lead you to a variety of resources to help you use and better understand the general software applications used on campus. Information on using Corel's WordPerfect Office, Microsoft Office, GroupWise, Internet Explorer, Netscape, how to use your Network Drives for file storage and more can be found here!

 
ListServ Information
Messiah College's ListServ is one method of communicating with your peers in an electronic "discussion board" format. This part of the Help Center will give you vital information for using our ListServ
Laptops, Projectors, Cameras, etc.
If you have need of one of these resources, they are available from Media Services. These pages will help you better understand how to begin using the equipment.
 
Downloadable Software
With so many applications downloadable from the Internet, what do the staff of ITS recommend? We've provided a number of applications you can download and install if you have a specific need.

Computer Virus Information
Computer viruses are more common than the common cold these days. If you want to know more about computer viruses and what Messiah College is doing to help protect your computer and data, you can find the basic information here.
 

 

WHO TO CALL WHEN YOU HAVE COMPUTER TROUBLE

Student Support
(non-emergency)
Call ext. 5901 for help with IT services provided to students such as network connectivity, PC support and email support. Or click here to complete a request form.
Employee Support
(non-emergency)
Call the Help Desk at x.4444 or login to MCSquare and submit a IT Service Request ticket from the ITS Information channel.
Emergency
Classroom Support
Call ext. 2222 if you are in a classroom and the equipment is not working. Call right from the classroom for quick, emergency classroom support during regular business hours on days that classes are in session.
Emergency
After Hours Support
After regular working hours, ITS staff will be on call around the clock to investigate wide-spread server, network, and internet problems for systems faults affecting large segments of the campus community. After hours support will not be given for individual problems. The most common wide-spread problems that may be encountered are problems with the email system, the main web site, the internet, the student K drive, the employee O or N drive, and the card access system.
