Installing GroupWise Windows Client
GroupWise for Windows Client Program
The GroupWise for Windows Client Program is available to students, though not required. If you do not like the web interface and would like to try the GroupWise client, follow these steps to install it. Note: your email will always be available via the Web, even after installing and using this program.
- Connect to the student filespace server by using the "Messiah File Space" icon installed during the resnet setup. Use your Messiah username and password. See accessing filespace for more information.
- Open the K:\utility directory.
- Double-click the icon labeled Install Groupwise Client.
- The GroupWise setup program should start. You need to be careful about two of the options:
- Use Standard Install when asked to choose.
- When asked about Software Integrations, use the [Clear All] button to ensure that no apps are selected. The "software integration" options can make life a pain and that part of the GroupWise system is not enabled.
- For all other options select the defaults.
- The first time you run Groupwise, make sure TCP/IP address is "gw.messiah.edu".
