Burning Data CDsDescription: Data CDs are able to hold any file type and are an excellent way to store large amounts of data. Step 1 After double-clicking the Nero - Burning ROM icon on the desktop, you will be brought to the screen below. On this screen "CD" will already be selected and the other two options will be greyed out.  Step 2 On the screen which asks the question "How would you like to continue?" click 'Next.'  Step 3 Now select Data CD and click 'Next.'  Step 4 Check to make sure "Create a new data CD" is selected then click 'Next.'  Step 5 Click the 'Finish' button to begin selecting the files you wish to burn to CD.  Step 6 In the File Browser panel, locate the folder where the files you wish to burn reside. When you click on the folder the contents of that folder will show up in the panel to the far right.  Step 7 Now highlight the files you wish to burn and drag them over to the second panel. When you do this the status bar at the bottom of the window will show how much space on the CD will be consumed. For example, in the screenshot below, only 225MB out of 700MB will currently be consumed if the CD were to be burned now.  Step 8 Once all of the files you wish to be burned are selected and moved into the second panel, you are ready to begin the actual burning process by clicking the button in the center of the toolbar at the top of your screen. It will look like this:  When the burning process has completed a message will come up saying that the burning process has completed successfuly. At this point you can safely remove the newly burned CD from the CD drive.
