Outlook: Mobile Device Setup - Android

The Android O/S email configuration tends to vary from device to device so be aware that extra effort may be required to find settings that work on your particular device. If you are wanting an easy cell phone to set up, with minimal fuss, we recommend the iPhone.

The steps below provide general outline of the settings needed to setup your Android Device. If you have any questions or are not able to input the settings as listed below, please contact your vendor or call the Helpdesk (x.4444). When contacing Helpdesk, please be prepared to tell us the specific model of device you are trying to configure.

1. Open the application drawer and click Settings.
   
   
2. Click on Accounts and Sync
   
   
3. Now click on Add Account
   
   
4. Click Exchange (or Corporate).
   
   
5. Enter the following:
   Email: EmailID@messiah.edu
   Username: EmailID@messiah.edu
   Password: your Password
   Server: m.outlook.com (if that doesn't work, try pod51004.outlook.com)
   
   
6. Click Next.
   
   
7. Email checking frequency: Automatic (Push)
   Amount to synchronize: Two weeks (You can customize this option)
   Check all of the check boxes.
   
   
8. Click Next.
   
   
9. Give this account a name: Messiah
   Your name: Type your name here
   
   
10. When you are finished, click Done. You have now setup your Outlook account on your Android device!
