(Assistive Devices for Persons with Hearing/Speech Impairments)


TDD

Text telephones or TDD's (telecommunications devices for the deaf) are available if the need exists. TDD's are typewriter-like machines that permit hearing or speech-impaired persons to communicate by typing messages back and forth over telephone lines. For approval contact the Disability Services Office x3985.

Pennsylvania Relay Service operators are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be reached as follows:

Headsets

headset Telephone headsets can be useful for employees who spend considerable time answering or placing telephone calls. Telecom can advise departments on the correct headset and ordering procedures. If you have questions, please call the ITS Helpdesk (x.4444).
