Cell Phone Support Structure

The college has has decided to structure cell phone support to three main areas:

Standard Voice
Smartphones - iPhone, Andriod, Windows Mobile, Palm O/S
Smartphones - Blackberry

If you are considering a new cell phone to be used with our email and calendar system, we strongly recommend you review our Mobile Device Setup web page prior to choosing your phone.

Standard Voice Phone
Email Synchronization:	N/A

Campus Wireless Configuration:	ITS will configure for the campus wide wireless network (as applicable).
Phone Recommendation:	Please speak with your authorized cell phone service provider (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Nextel, T-Mobile, etc.) for a recommendation to fit your specific needs.


Smartphone (iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile, Palm O/S)
Email Synchronization:	ITS will offer full synchronization of e-mail, calendar, and contacts at no additional cost to the user. Please submit a ITS service request by doing the following: Logging into MCSquare Clicking on the Home tab On the left side of the page, click on Submit an IT Service Request under "Need to Know". Put the following information in the ticket: Make and Model of Phone Along with the request to add email capabilities to your phone.

Campus Wireless Configuration:	ITS will make available information on how to configure you phone for the campus wireless network (as applicable).

Phone Recommendation:	Please speak with your authorized cell phone service provider (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Nextel, T-Mobile, etc.) for a recommendation to fit your specific needs.


Smartphone (Blackberry)
Email Synchronization:	ITS will offer full synchronization of email and calendar, but additional software is required at an additional cost to the individual, so please contact ITS (x.4444) prior to purchasing a Blackberry to inquire about this software.

Campus Wireless Configuration:	ITS will make available information on how to configure you phone for the campus wireless network (as applicable).
