Customer Service Assistant
Position Description


Position Summary:  The Customer Service Assistant performs a variety of office duties to support Learning Technology Services


Experience Required:  None


Hours Required: 10 hours /week


Dress Requirements:  All students are expected to have a neat and clean appearance. No cutoffs or torn pants/shirts are permitted.


Skills, Characteristics, and Experience Required:

  • Outgoing, friendly personality
  • Good customer service skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and effectively share new knowledge with others
  • Ability to easily navigate spreadsheets and databases
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written

Special Working Conditions: None


 

Primary Duties

1.

Answer and assist help line phone calls in a pleasant manner

2.

Submit RT tickets in Helpdesk queue and Production queue

3.

Check available equipment in and out from the loaner pool

4.

Troubleshoot LMS, video conferencing software and other learning applications used in the classroom

5.

Laminate student work orders

6.

Notify patrons of completed work orders

7.

Assist with maintenance of inventory program

8.

Effectively communicate with clients (employees and students)

9.

Complete research as requested to support and extend department's knowledge base

10.

Maintain consistent and reliable attendance


 

Secondary Duties

1.

Other duties as assigned.
