Select a Position:
Indicate your first, second, and third job preference from the following list: 1 being the most preferred, and 3 being the least preferred. For all other jobs, indicate "NI" for not interested or "Pos" for Possibly. Please fill in all spaces. Depending on the work load, any given position may include some duties found in other positions. Pay varies with the position but typically ITS jobs are the highest paying work study jobs on campus.

For the following Technical Assistant positions you will work under the close supervision of an ITS staff person. These positions require special skills and most required the ability to open computers and handle system components and boards.

Desktop Support(faculty/staff):
Assist Desktop Support Specialists with their duties of supporting the office environment. You will help install computers, peripherals and software in employee offices under strict supervision. You will be working with Word, Excel, Powerpoint, networking, CDROM drives, speakers, sound cards, Windows 98 (and above), scanners, and other various hardware and software components.

Technical Assistant (student):
Assist the Manager of Student Computer Services with installing network cards and software on students' personally owned computers for residence hall access. Assist with software inventory and tracking. (A limited number of positions during welcome week in the fall available as well)

Lab Manager:
Assist with computer lab management. You will be responsible for maintaining the lab environment by rebuilding system software on lab computers, maintaining supplies, basic troubleshooting on reported problems and other duties as assigned.

Phone Wiring:
Assist the Communications Technicians with all campus phone maintenance and network wiring. Having organizational skills is a big plus.

Office Assistant:
Encompasses all of the Lab Manager duties as well as minor repairs, system upgrades, documentation, web page updates, and other duties as assigned.
